Communities in Schools

Communities In Schools Houston provides student support services to at-risk youth. The mission of CIS is to provide and to coordinate student assistance services at the school campus in order to best meet the physical and emotional needs of at-risk students and to empower these students to remain in school.

One Voice

One Voice is a network of public, private and non-profit organizations in the Greater Houston area working together to ensure that the health and human service needs of all Texans are addressed in legislative, regulatory, funding and other public policy initiatives.

Houston Independent School District

The Houston Independent School District is the largest public school system in Texas and the seventh-largest in the United States. Its schools are dedicated to giving every student the best possible education through an intensive core curriculum and specialized, challenging instructional and career programs. HISD is working hard to become Houstonians' K–12 school system of choice, by constantly improving instruction and management to be as effective, productive, and economical as possible.

Joint City County Commission on Children

The mission of the Joint City/County Commission on Children is to generate an action plan advocating for individuals below the age of eighteen and their interests; assess the general welfare of our youth; offer ways in which the key needs of those individuals can be met; and promote the healthy development of children which will ultimately benefit our entire community.

Systems of Hope

The mission of Systems of Hope is to provide effective support and care which is family driven and youth guided to families and their children who are experiencing serious emotional and behavioral problems. The Harris County Systems of Hope utilizes integrated, holistic, and individualized methods based on strengths and an appreciation of the many cultures represented in our community.

CHILDREN AT RISK

CHILDREN AT RISK improves the quality of life of Greater Houston's children through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration and advocacy.

Collaborative for Children

Collaborative for Children is a non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of early care and education in the Houston area. Partnering with families and community-based organizations, we focus on young children, from birth to age six, and offer programs and services that increase public awareness about the importance of the early years to a child's later development, provide parents with materials and resources on how young children learn and develop, support and develop child care and early education professionals, and strengthen the early care and education systems through policy development & systems change.

Children’s Assessment Center

The Children's Assessment Center provides professional, compassionate, and coordinated approach to the treatment of sexually abused children and their families and serves as an advocate for all children in our community.
